Special Re-Up Edition: NBA Finals Conspiracy

It seems as if this year's NBA Finals may have been one of the highest rated NBA Finals in history. Game 3 garnered a preliminary rating of 5.8 A18-49, which has since adjusted to a 7.3 A18-49 rating.

Tuesday night also showed the season finale of the CW show iZombie, which has garnered a series low 0.5 A18-49 rating, which is not too bad by CW standards. Many commenters on TVByTheNumbers pointed out the impact that the NBA Finals had on the show, with some stating that it has reached ratings levels of The 100.

Tonight, Game 4 will go against Hannibal, Aquarius, Wayward Pines, and the iHeartRadio's Summer Pool Party. The question is, will its impact cause one show to dip towards cancelation? At this point for the beginning of the summer season, it's practically too early to tell.

My ratings predictions are that Hannibal will garner a 0.6 new series low, Wayward Pines will get a 1.0, and Aquarius will be a 0.5 in the A 18-49 rating. The reason why is that having Aquarius as a lead in is questionable at best. Also, it is the summer season and networks have lower expectations.

Lifetime Reality TV Predictions: "Bama State Style" is Canceled, there is no going back. In other news, "Dance Moms" still Likely to be Canceled

We just got word that the show Bama State Style is being shopped for a new home. That's right, you guessed it. The show has been canceled by Lifetime after 4 episodes. It will be written of no more. 

Dance Mom's 0.3 A 18-49 rating is enough to keep the prediction at "likely canceled". 

There is no word on all the other shows that are currently predicted as "certain to be canceled". Once word comes out, there will be changes to predictions. 

Here's another change to the prediction table. Little Women: NY is now predicted as "likely to be canceled", as well as Little Women LA: Terra's Little Family. Both shows on their recent season finales pulled in a 0.3 A 18-49 rating, which is mediocre on Wednesday standards. Little Women: NY has been a marginal performer in the latter half of the season at best, while the latter show has crashed. I wouldn't be shocked if they are both renewed, but I think it could go the other way.

Back from Hiatus! Lifetime Predictions: "UnReal" is 'Certain to be Canceled'. Already!

Looks like I'll be out of the Reality TV domain on Lifetime for this post. 

I've arrived just in time for the slow part of the television season. Welcome to summer. It's about to get ugly. 

Already we have the first casualty on Lifetime with the show "UnReal". The ratings on a Monday night at the 10 PM slot are beyond terrible. It's premiere debuted at a rather shameful 0.29 A 18-49 rating and has caused Lifetime to post the first four episodes on its website. This week it has dropped to a 0.26 A 18-49 rating. Granted if this were the CW, the show would have been canceled immediately just like The Messengers did with those terrible ratings. For this reason, the show is certain to be canceled.

Lifetime Reality TV Predictions: Some Changes Are Made...and Bama State Style is Still Certain to Be Canceled

On this prediction post, all shows that are predicted as de-facto canceled are now predicted as certain cancelations. 

Bama State Style has been pulled from the schedule after its fourth episode. I would've started it as de-facto canceled today, but I'm not. Therefore, it remains a certain cancelation.

After the reunion special for Dance Moms pulled a 0.3 A18-49, cancelation is becoming much more imminent. Dance Moms is therefore, once again, likely to be canceled. 

The observant will note that Little Women LA: Terra's Little Family is now a "toss-up" to be canceled or renewed due to the plunge in recent ratings. If ratings stabilize, it will remain. But when it drops again, expect a downgrade.

With graduation next week, I thought I would say a few things. First of all, don't think that just because the Re-Up is back up and running doesn't mean that I defacto canceled Life Unscripted. I will be returning with inspirational and true life stuff as soon as I can.

Lifetime Reality TV Predictions: "Bama State Style" is Certain to Be Canceled

Two weeks ago, Bama State Style arrived DOA on Lifetime with a 0.2 A18-49 rating. This week, it fell to a 0.1 A18-49 rating. I was going to start it at "likely cancelled" today if I was in headline conversion mode, but I'm not. The show is certain to be canceled. It also has been replaced for a Lifetime Original Movie this Friday.


Why is Jump! de-facto cancelled? The show tumbled so far down and at this point, might as well be cancelled.

Lifetime Reality TV Predictions: Now this is getting real embarrassing.

I've made three changes to the Lifetime predictions. And I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I will say this. 

Both Jump! and Born in the Wild are downgraded (although in Jump!'s case, really downgraded) to certain cancelation. With good reasons. Jump!'s ratings have really fallen to the point of no return (from 0.6 to 0.3). On Lifetime's turf, that's cancelation territory. Note to historical trends: Kim of Queens also performed at a 0.3 rating and was canceled. Born in the Wild there is just no promotion whatsoever. I can't figure out why it is still on the air for burn-off. 

Dance Moms ratings have also fallen and it is back at a toss-up range. Even though it was the midseason finale. Or is it next week? 

I've also downgraded Bring It!'s prediction because of drop in ratings. It's now likely to be renewed.
