Lifetime Reality TV Predictions: Jump! Still Has a (Somewhat!) Reasonable Chance of Renewal

The ratings have dropped on both Bring It! and Jump! in the past week. However, the network might be to blame for all the recent downsides in ratings. The predictions have been unchanged for both: Bring It! remains certain to be renewed, and Jump! remains likely to be renewed. Hopefully the ratings were an aberration. If not, expect a prediction change next week.

The observant will note that Dance Moms is now predicted as likely to be renewed. Dance Moms' 0.7 rating convinces me that hope is on the way.

The observant will also note that Born in the Wild is a likely cancelation. Little promotion basically equals can't find the ratings.

Little Women: NY is now a toss-up between cancelation and renewal. A 0.4 is not bad, but not good either. Let's wait and see for one more week. On the other hand, Little Women LA: Terra's Little Family is doing reasonably well in the ratings. It's going to start as a likely renewal.

ABC Reality TV Predictions: Dancing with the Stars is Certain to Be Renewed, while Repeat After Me gets the ax (unofficially), and more predictions!

With the ratings boost created from Disney Night on Dancing with the Stars, plus some decent ratings in the past few weeks, I have some good news to start off this post. It's certain to be renewed!

Repeat After Me, however, has unfortunately disastrous ratings. The show hasn't even aired at all for a while which explains why it has been replaced by Fresh off the Boat. As a result, it's de-facto cancelled.

ABC Reality TV
Dancing with the Stars - Certain Renewal
Shark Tank - Certain Renewal
Repeat After Me - De-Facto Cancelled

Lifetime Reality TV Update: 'Kosher Soul' Still Certain to Be Cancelled(Might as Well Make it De-facto Cancelled!), Bad News for Kim of Queens...and more predictions!

The finale of Kosher Soul two weeks ago only garnered a 0.1 rating in the adults 18-49 category. That is beyond danger zone for Lifetime's standards. Recently we found out that the show has been moved to Fridays for extra burnoff. The show is still certain to be cancelled, and it's de-facto cancelled at best.

In other news, after considering the cable ratings average on Lifetime, I have adjusted the prediction for Dance Moms to a Toss-Up to be cancelled or renewed. Dance Moms is not what it used to be. It's been consistent as a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 category. It's more likely to be renewed than what I've realized since the entire network average is fractional at best.

Kim of Queens has officially been cancelled. Regrettably, I forgot to include Kim of Queens on the previous post about Lifetime predictions and cancellations.

Jump!, the new reality show has been doing well for quite some time. I will start this at 'likely to be renewed', but we'll know in a few weeks.

Preacher's Daughters ended with a 0.4 rating in the adults 18-49 category. I can now confirm that it could be the next one on the chopping block as well, since the show was moved to Fridays, there has been a drop in ratings. It's a low end toss up, which means that Preacher's Daughters may not be renewed for next season. It will be written of no more.

In Other News, Dance Moms is still Likely to Be Cancelled, and there is little hope for Kosher Soul (and other predictions!)

Recent ratings have held steady on the Lifetime series Dance Moms (0.5-0.6 rating). However, it is still down from previous seasons, and it is still in the likely cancellation zone. Really, this could go either way, but I don't expect it to be renewed with continued decline.

In the case of Kosher Soul, after watching multiple episodes of the docu-sitcom, there is little hope. The show is certain to be cancelled. I can base this for multiple reasons: little promotion, Lifetime airing Little Women: LA instead of Kosher Soul, and it has been panned by critics and viewers alike. I could be wrong.

In other news, Bring It!'s recent ratings in past weeks being a top performer for the cable network ensure that we can expect Lifetime to put the show in the renewal pile. It's certain to be renewed!

Kim of Queens has been performing poorly in the ratings. Since there is little to no promotion for it, the show is said to be de-facto cancelled, instead of certain to be cancelled. Look for it in the next edition of the Re-Up.

The return of The Re-Up! Reality TV: Renewed or Cancelled?

The Re-Up is back after a two year hiatus!
This week's topic will be: TV Renewal (or Cancellation) Predictions
During the mid-season of the 2014-15 television season, reality TV has seen its ups and downs. Here are my recent predictions of reality TV shows during the midseason.
1. American Idol
Status: Certain Renewal
Let's just say, Idol, despite the ratings slump in the last decade, is just not going anywhere. Expect Idol to be back next season.
2. The Voice
Status: Certain Renewal
No surprise. NBC airs the show twice a year. It's not likely it will go anytime.
3. The Bachelor
Status: No word from ABC, but consider it "certain renewal"
Last night's After the Final Rose brought on major surprises. Reality Steve is correct on who Farmer Chris is engaged to. I'm expecting this to be renewed after Bachelorette is over with.
4. Dance Moms
Status: Likely cancellation
Due to the lawsuits against Abby Lee Miller, she has been getting even more obsessive over Maddie Ziegler. The ratings for the season five premiere have dropped considerably, after the departures of both Christi Lukasiak, and daughter Chloe, which followed the departure of Kelly Hyland and daughters Brooke and Paige. I can now predict that this show is probably not going to see a sixth season by next year. I can already see that Nia will be the next one, along with mom Holly to announce their departures.
5. The Biggest Loser
Status: Toss-Up
Season 16's entire season has been down nearly 40% in the adults 18-49 demographic. There are many reasons why I'm rating this as a toss-up. NBC has yet to renew for season 17. The change in time slots from Tuesday to Thursday may be one of the reasons for the drop in ratings, as well as the departure of Jillian Michaels, and Bob Harper being put in the back burner as a trainer for Comeback Canyon. I could see this going either way. But given NBC's recent history of a poorly rated Thirsday night lineup, it may be the year that the Biggest Loser may be running its course. If the trend continues, if it is renewed, season 17 will be its very last.
6. Celebrity Apprentice
Status: Renewed for Season 15
Monday night time slot and a format of two tasks per episode definitely proved to be a success. Expect the Donald to come back next season.
